Welcome to the ICLRD Training Site
The ICLRD Executive Training Programme on Managing and Shaping Cross-Border Development in the Newry-Dundalk Twin-City and wider region concluded successfully on Tuesday 11th May.
The training in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry spanned a six month period and over five modules included a diverse range of topics and speakers. Participants represented local government in County Louth, Newry and Mourne, and Down Districts, at both elected and officer levels; the private sector, including Chambers of Commerce and Enterprise Agencies; academia; and central government.
Presentations from the final module have been added to the website, including those by the two participant groups on the themes of Green / sustainable / renewable energies and Tourism and Recreation. A Post Module Report for Module 5 is also available to read here.
Everyone at ICLRD would like to thank all of the speakers and participants for their active involvement in the programme and for contributing so positively to its outcomes. The challenge is now to take forward the many ideas generated and to build upon the successes and fruitful collaborations that have been established.
We will be in contact over the coming months to consider future opportunities to meet to review and engender further progress.
